This antique phonograph was accidentally knocked down during a game of hide-and-go-seek.
We received it in pieces. Not only was the cabinet and arm broken, but the motor within the interior was dislodged.
The phonograph was not functional when it was on display.
The cabinet was disassembled, and the joints were realigned and secured. The sound box, trip post, taper tube, taper tube support and motor were repaired and assembled.
A new felt pad was installed on the turntable. The finish on the cabinet was retouched, waxed and hand buffed. A stylus was installed in the soundbox.
