Custom Mirror Silvering
Our custom patinated mirrors are fabricated in-house by our master craftsmen. Each mirror finish has its own formula that creates a reaction, resulting in a simulation of the natural deterioration of the silver.
Adjusting the formulas can make subtle changes to the design. However, it is important to understand that our custom silvered mirrors are handmade and one-of-a-kind.

Decorative Mirrors with Custom Finished Frames
Along with decorative mirrors, we design and create custom frames.
Using wood, welded metal, or acrylic frames in combination with glass, beveling, and silvering finishes allows for a multitude of options.
Your design could include a revival trumeau or multi-panel architectural mirror. The silvering can be clear, antique, distressed, or gilded on textured, tinted, low iron, convex, or art glass. Make an appointment to visit our showroom to review a selection of potential options.

Gilding, Leafing & Eglomise
Verre Eglomise/Reverse Leaf/Gilded glass are all one and the same. Each term refers to Verre Eglomise, which is French for ‘glass gilded’ and is a process where the reverse side of a piece of glass is gilded with gold or silver leaf using a gelatin adhesive. Select leafing includes:
22k Yellow Gold
12k White Gold
Silver Metal Leaf
Platinum
Eglomise panels can be further customized by using textured or tinted glass.

Restoration of an Antique French Marriage Mirror
This early 20th century XVI revival gilt marriage mirror was recovered by our team after a severe fire. The 22 karat gilded frame not only needed cleaning to remove the soot, the gilding needed to be selectively stabilized.
The original patination of the antique silvering on the glass panel was preserved.
